About Me
I like to read, watch the occasional good movie. I love walking among the trees and listening to a rushing stream.
Music
I love Enya, most new age music, very little country, nature sounds and some pop and alternative(the 80's kind). Deva Premal, Native American. No RAP. Ummm, lite Jazz, a little bluegrass when the mood strikes and our regional mountain folk music. World Music, really a pretty eclectic mix of genre's. I guess I just love music in almost all it's forms, even if it's just the wind blowing thru the pine trees.
Movies
Lord of The Rings is my absolute favorite along with the Harry Potters. The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates (I love Adam Sandler) Memoirs of a Geisha, well, the list goes on, lol.
TV
Books
Stephen King, Anne Rice, Johnathon Kellerman, Tammi Hoag, Janet Evanovich, Patricia Cornwell, etc.

Yea!!! It's finally getting warm. And I think we will be moving soon. Hubby has maybe 3 more weeks in upstate NY to finish a small project and then it's off to New Orleans. We have been together almost 17 years and he has had to work out of town almost the whole time. Maybe we'll finally get to live together and be almost 'normal' for a few years. LOL At least there will be good food there. Where we live now we have a Micky-D's, a Dairy Queen and a Ky Fried Chicken and a Mexican restaurant. And that's all, folks. There is 1 small grocery store, a hospital, many banks and many churches. No alcohol or fun of any type allowed. LOL Not that I drink a great deal, but a good Margharita goes a long way towards a good mood on some days. Well, gotta take Richard to the airport in Knoxville, Tn. He was home for a few days. Catch you'ins later, B.
Ah, Well. Winters just aren't what they used to be. When it snows it's just a little and doesn't stay. I got a couple of teasers this year and that was about it. I am actually looking forward to summer this year and I usually hate the heat, but this winter has just been cold and wet. I just got my shipment of heirloom tomato seeds in the mail a couple of days ago. I am looking forward to trying them out this year. I didn't realize there were so many types of tomato's and some that are practically extinct from people not planting them anymore. But I found seed savers exchange and found some really neat older varieties of them and a lot of other veggies that date way back. some are rather unusual. Can't wait to try them. I love to grow things. I plan on putting out lots of flowers, especially Lilly's, I love them and maybe some native ferns this year. We just moved here in September and I am looking forward to being out in the yard this year. I really didn't have much of one before. I live pretty high up on the side of a mountain, but I have a good yard to grow things in. Anyway, here's looking forward to Spring and Summer. Brightest Blessings and Love, Beryl.
Well, it's into a New Year again. A time to start over for some and learn from last years mistakes and a new beginning for others to strike out on their own and begin new lives. I myself and hoping for a happier year than the last one. LOL Hope springs eternal I suppose. My new year's resolution is to read more and learn all I can about my new path in life and about myself. To get some initiative to move forward instead of dwelling on the past. It has served me no good purpose to dwell on things that can never be changed or made right. And to finally make the decision to distance myself from those who would deter me. I am better off without them. I wish for everyone a wonderful and hopeful new year. Brightest Blessings, Beryl.
It's finally snowing here. YAY!! I love the snow. It wasn't feeling too holliday-ish here recently. But sitting here today watching the snow lifted my spirits a LOT. I have lots of bird food out and the birdies and squirrels are pigging out today, LOL. My cats love to watch. Anyway, thought I'd say a quick HI to everyone. I hope the holidays are wonderful for everyone. May the Goddess Bless you all. Love, Light and Laughter, Beryl.
sorry it's been a while since I checked in. We recently moved and it's taken me longer to get settled in than it did 20 years ago, LOL. The good new is, is that I am getting there. Plus, I live up on the side of a mountain and I have all kinds of new friends. I purchased some Critter food today, several bird feeders and water bowls for the masses. My cats are astounded at the possibilities and opportunities they will never get. But...they can look. Hopefully I will now get to check in with my friends more often. The weather is starting to cool down and my favorite time of year is almost here. I'm already decorating for fall. I always have lots of sticks, rocks, cinnamon brooms and that sort of thing year round, but now all the lovely fall colors are coming in. I am at my very happiest in October and November. And the town I live in (my hometown) makes a 5 day event of Halloween. My youngest grand-daughter calls it Halloweentown, lol. She loves it here. Everyone have a great week, and I hope to catch ya'll later, Beryl.
Blessings dear friend, and many Lughnasadh Blessings :) too!
This is great, being able to leave a message!
The new computer has extra's I'm not familiar with, lol. Ironically, I've been checking my mail at my son's place, but not enough time to answer. I'm leaving something beautiful for you to enjoy. I know you like Enya.
Love, light and laughter,
Marie :) *hugs*
